HELP
FOR HAITI Though it happened
almost two months ago, Haiti is still reeling from the massive January
12th earthquake. The lack of basic infrastructure makes sustained
relief difficult, and there is still great need there. To get the full
details, check this Doctors
Without Borders briefing.
Tonight, a bunch of great local musicians and DJs are pulling together
to try to raise $10,000 to help with Doctors Without Borders'
continued relief efforts. The lineup is great, featuring live
performances from one-man-band Reggie Watts, a Haitian Carnival band
called Grand Bwa and an ambient synth act ARP; and DJ sets from disco
don Darshan Jesrani, Liquid Liquid's Sal P, and other local favorites
Duane Harriott, Marcos Cabral and Andy Beta. It only costs $10 to get
in, but if you can afford more, give more!
